My favorite research tool is the internet, so I started cruising and searching. As I cruised, I learned...about the difference between a chlorine reduction system and a chlorine elimination system, first of all. Many systems sounded good until I reached that sentence that killed the deal; "...will dramatically reduce the amount of chlorine you use."

I kept searching, studying ozone, salt, UV, and at last found copper ionization. It was then that I finally discovered ECOsmarte. I avidly consumed everything on the website, understanding about two thirds of it. (There is a fair amount of chemistry there!) Then I came across the testimonials, which went on and on about how happy people were not to be swimming in toxic chemicals. I called the nearest dealer in LA and asked a LOT of questions. Then I started to get excited, really excited. Why was a chlorine-free pool and spa system not all over California? Seemed like a no-brainer to me. In fact, why was this product not all over the world?

My employers ordered systems for their pool and 2 spas, and were very happy with the price. After learning about copper ionization technology, I had obtained one alternative bid from a man who built custom pool systems that combined ozone with copper ionization to create chlorine-free pools. The price for ECOsmarte systems for the pool and both spas was one fifth of the bid we got from him for just the pool. Nice! Since then, I have enjoyed the pleasure of swimming and soaking in chlorine-free water many times. There's nothing like it.

What did I do with my excitement? I jumped in with both feet, to the land of ECOsmarte sales. My learning curve in the worlds of water, plumbing, pools, sanitization and filtration has been steep and exhilarating. I find life to be the most satisfying when I am constantly learning. And for the sales part? People have been telling me my whole life that I could do sales, but I have never been passionate enough about something to want to sell it. Until now.

Turns out ECOsmarte is all over the world, I think the last count was that we are in 46 countries! And I'm doing my best to bring chlorine-free pools and spas to California... as well as the best 100% salt-free home water purification and conditioning systems on the market today, but that story is for next time.
